Dakini Yeshe Tsogyal was afraid that everything living in the lake would die, so she got 7 Liang (a unit of weight) of gold and made a wish for each one. She used a strong chant to join all the lakes together into one large body of water that looked like Padma Sambhava holding a scorpion in his hand. Padma Sambhava was the Buddhist messenger in Tibet in the eighth century.
