Majestic Heights of Karo La High Pass and Glacier

The Karo La High Pass, standing at an elevation of 5,052 meters (16,571 feet), and the Karo La Glacier, towering at 5,650 meters (18,532 feet), are remarkable highlights for travelers along this route. The glacier originates from the southern slope of Mount Noiqin Kangsang (7,191 meters), also known as Mt. Noijin Kangsang. This mountain ranks among the four highest peaks in Tibet. Positioned just 200 meters from the highway, the Karola Glacier presents a striking view, with Mount Noiqin Kangsang dramatically rising above it. Additionally, a tributary of the Nyangchu River flows from the glaciers surrounding Mount Noiqin Kangsang.
